Ashley Bryce is a 24 year old graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She graudated with a major in American Studies and a minor in Spanish. Ashley currently works for Bryce Sales in Tupelo, MS doing new product development and pricing. She travels frequently between Tupelo, MS and Memphis, TN. Samuel Riney (Jamie) is a 24 year old graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He graduated with a degree in Bio-Chemistry and Molecular Biology. When Jamie is not busy taking classes towards his Masters degree in Microbiology at the University of Memphis, he teaches MCAT classes at Kaplan as well as working at the Harbour of Health. | The Proposal |
Jamie proposed to Ashley on November, 17th 2007 at her parent’s country home in Toone, TN. Jamie and Debbie (Ashley's mom) had been working together to plan a get together with Jamie's family and Ashley's family. Ashley thought nothing of it. Once everyone arrived and visited a little bit, Debbie sent Ashley and Jamie on a four-wheeler ride to make sure the trails were in good condition. As they were riding, Jamie pointed out a tree that appeared to have a message carved into it. Jamie had carved "Ashley Will you Marry me" into the tree. He got down on one knee and proposed. They enjoyed their first moments as a newly engaged couple with a glass of champagne and returned to celebrate their engagement with their families.
